Shawl Tuxedo OK as Groom?

Hey!

I have a black tie wedding and my groomsmen will be wearing peak lapels. Would like to know if it would be appropriate/formal enough for me to wear a navy tuxedo with a shawl lapel as the groom?

I've sifted through many guides and some will suggest peak is slightly more formal. However, shawl us equally acceptable.

Any thoughts on how it would look if all my groomsmen are wearing peak and I'm wearing a shawl collar would be greatly appreciated!

This is a black tie wedding.

Style-wise, the opposite is probably more common: groom in peak and groomsmen in shawl. But if your tuxedo is navy and theirs are black, I think that sets you apart enough while still maintaining formality.
