I actually have these. I happened to walk into a Sears one day recently and they were doing the exact same demonstrations you see in the ad.

It sounds stupid, but they actually do work to soak up spills and get liquid out of stuff like the couch and the rug when my kids dump their drinks or the dog knocks things over.

I purchased these and have been happy with the product. Its no miracle product, but it does a good job at soaking liquids up and is a good alternative to paper towels.

That lake review was classic.
