So I moved up and Steve moved down. Not my fault. The averages are the averages.

What's your record against the top three teams in this league right now Steve?

Strength of schedule is the whole point. It counts the same if you lose 9-1 to the last place team or the first place team. If you meet someone in the playoffs, and your team performs really poorly, and the other really well, you're screwed.

Like last year when my hitters hit below the Mendoza line the first week, and your pitchers did something like 4-0 with 35 Ks on the last day.

Ok... so you agree with me then that H2H wins are relatively meaningless as an indicator about the statistical performance of your team. Why are you arguing with me and propping yourself up with meaningless stats? For example, you are in first place with H2H wins with a record of 9-3-2, which would indicate that you have the winningest pitchers. That is not true though, as has been pointed out. It would technically be possible for the team with the least wins have the best H2H wins record in pitching. It all comes down to how the other team does that week. There is no argument. It's just another weak attempt for you to feel better about losing every year, I guess.

Uh-Uh. I average like you do...Just off the categories in H2H rather than individual. More statistically meaningful. Still leaves me pretty mediocre.

But I'm not playing you and it's not the playoffs.

My snake will turn into a rod with which to smite you.

I hope you don't use that kind of filthy talk around your kids.

Anyone with a 4 foot cudgel is clearly overcompensating. I just use a baseball bat.

Problem is, I always dominate Steve, but he keeps insisting he wants to be on top.

We are currently at an impasse.

I'm thinking that's WHY he wants to dominate me so much...

Not interested in younger guys, Slim.

Or that whole grunge thing from Seattle.
