Hey guys. I'm looking into a seersucker suit, for smart casual/street wear, and to be able to dress up for a summer weddings and events of the sort.
I live in Toronto, so would this exclusively be for summer.
I work at a fashion retailer that offers a nice cotton seersucker suit. I get it for a really good price, and it's a very appropriate style and quality for my age. My only concern is the lining, as this has a full lining of viscose and acetate (breathable) and constructed chest.
For the back/shoulders, I know I could probably just chop off most of the lining and get my tailor to clean up the seams, but for the sleeves, would a lining still be necessary, for its functionality while wearing a shirt?
Is the ideal to have zero lining, or partially lined?

I only have experience with fully lined suits, so any insight would be appreciated!

Leave it alone. Look at a 1/2 lined jacket. The seams are taped or turned under. For a clean finish. Too much work post production. The lining in the sleeves allow your arms to enter smoothly. Sort of like a "lubricant"
