The new YSL L'Homme. Completely overblown, much like the previous versions of L'Homme, but with a "young/sexy" vibe. Blech.

Blegh sounds right. :(

Anyway, you can kiss ******, but I wore Jicky today and loved every minute of it. "wear the same old thing" "schmer the same old thing"

I like to call YSL L'Homme Libre the Jicky of the new generation. Okay, I like to call it that ironically, but still.

I'm wearing L'Autre today, which I like to call the Jicky of 1973.

Dug around in my old samples and found Iunx No. 3 L'eau Ivre. I sprayed it on without remembering a thing about it, and was pleasantly surprised. It's a light anise scent. I thought this range was long gone, but I googled around and apparently it's been re-released?

Chanel 31 Rue Cambon today. The opening reminds me of Coco but is sharp and artificial, very much a powdery oriental than a chypre throughout.

Anyone heard of or tried the scents of Strange Invisible Perfumes? It was started by this chick in Venice, California and apparently only contains natural unsynthesized ingredients.

I was just looking at these the other day & was set to order some samples, until I discovered that they charge $10 shipping for 3 sample vials. I checked @ perfumed court, but the one I was most interested in (Black Rosette) wasn't available as an edp. I may try the parfum, but told myself recently that I need to save some money.

Has this doc been posted in here yet? Cool perfume series from BBC if you haven't already seen it.

I watched that about a month ago. It's very interesting, especially the first two episodes. The only thing I didn't like was the parts devoted to Loud, Tommy Hilfiger's new fragrance. I wonder if marketing people realize how silly they sound when they insist that for the first time ever, they are bringing together the worlds of music and fragrance. What the hell is that even supposed to mean? She might as well have said that for the first time ever, the square of the hypotenuse has been bronzed in the urn of chortles. Does she think she's actually saying something contentful, or does she just talk that way for the cameras because she thinks it sounds good? I also appreciated her profound insight that young people are all about music nowadays.

At any rate, I'm wearing Creed Fantasia de Fleurs today. For the first time in history, Creed has married the world of fantasia with the world of fleurs. Perfect for lovers of fine porcelain and hip hop beatz. (Okay, it's really a pleasant, complex floral blend that opens with a prominent rose, and develops into sweeter, somewhat powdery violet and jasmine. I like it quite a bit.)

How did you get a hold of the new marketing materials for my upcoming fragrance release, Chortlegasm?
