With the recent talk of layering, I'm combining some Kiehl's Musk oil with Iquitos.

That sounds lovely. How was it?

I thought I'd play along and so tried today Kiehl's with Caron bellodgia (a powdery sort of carnation instead of Iquitos powdery rose) and it ended up something like a musky Chanel no. 5 or other aldehydic floral.

I was nice. I used a light hand with both and I ended up mostly smelling them separately and different times in the day, but I didn't much get the sense of a unified layered scent.

Yesterday: Chergui
Today: Bois 1920 La Vaniglia. If I were forced to choose, I'd say that this is my favorite fragrance.

I Hate Perfume's Burning Leaves.

Which I really like, actually, but only bring out for days like Halloween.

Amouage Jubilation, which is fantastic. Reminds me a bit of Moss Breches actually.

Really lovely scent (at least the XXV, don't know about the 25)! My favorite of the few I've tried so far.

Was bored (don't like BdP that much although it's a classic.. maybe I've to wear it some more times) and tried out the Boadicea The Victorious Invigorating sample which I got for free when I ordered my samples. Don't like it at all. Too much citrus, too powdery, maybe I don't like Geranium either. Drydown is a little better, still not great.

Divine L'Inspiratrice for me today. I think this is my fourth time wearing this, and I'm liking it very much. I think most of the regulars here would find it too girly, except for rach, who I think might like it.
