I'd find out how much of that $30 is gratuities, and how it's allocated between maid service, front desk personnel, food service, etc.. Tip extra (or not) based on the service she provides and how much she receives out of the standard $30/day.

A friend of mine was in town and ordered breakfast pastries and an OJ, for which they charged $19.00, plus a service/house charge of $6.14, and $4.95 in taxes.

So that's $30.00 for maybe $10.00 worth of food. Ok... then they have another space for a tip?

What kind of place has a 25% tax? The tax amount and service charge of 30%+ make me think that maybe Quirk, you did not properly read the bill...

Yeah, sorry -- I added the room service gratuity in with the tax. But still, with service charges/gratuities of $8.99 on a $19.00 food charge, to suggest an additional tip seems a bit much, IMO. Attachment 3096
