I have done this operation myself. Basically you will need to take the whole tie apart and cut back the lining as well and repress and sew tie to its new size. Not particularly fun, but if you are cheapskate like me, it does the trick.
Does anyone have experience with tiecrafters or anyone else in reducing width on a seven fold tie?
