I know, I've purchased from there before and the story behind it is pretty cool. I turn off ads here to support SF when I can but you can't honestly say that it doesn't create complete chaos and dissonance with your eyes, especially with how everyone these days have wide modern monitors. It feels like I'm at one of those clickbait Top 10 List sites that bombard you with ads, and I really think it does interfere with reading, at least with my resolution.

Give me an option to donate to SF and turn off all ads and I will do so

We've toyed with that idea, but it doesn't jibe with that "we're all in this together" feel that we've always tried to cultivate.

Turn your settings to full width.

We have all done this already… still does not resolve Hanger Project taking up 50% of the screen.

best thing is ad block at this point which defeats the whole purpose of advertisement as source of revenue. but i can't stand ads/newsletters/marketing content no matter how tastefully they're supposedly done

A high tech solution would be to tape two large sheets of paper to either side of your computer screen. This advice I give to you for free.

Just disabled Adblock. This is ******* terrible, oh my god. And the text of the background ad doesn't even fit on my screen.
