They're all hit or miss but acne and RRL are good places to start. Vis of course. Some LVC and Edwin.
There's lots out there.

All decent/good recs. Gilded Age is a brand that you tend to find discounted a lot but do good washes with good jeans, too.

Anyone know of any good makes of washed/faded denim? I can only think of OL right now, but TBS is not stocking any currently...

Visvim, Omnigod, Edwin comes to mind. I would wait for Jay to bring some Japanese denim goodness but with the crazy JPY at the moment he is concentrating more on the safer options (Raw denimz)

I bought a pair of washed Edwins from Mr Porter a couple days ago.. they should be in on Thursday for me to try out along with a pair of Polarized wayfarers to wear when it's sunny outside and I'm not fully recovered from my rhinoplasty.

White jeans are tough. Grey is a lot easier, even a pretty light grey. If you are not skeletal, you can easily come off looking like a whale. Plus, unless you just stand still all day, or never sit down, they will get super dirty in about 3 seconds.

Yeah Yoox has surprisingly a lot...of bad ones lol
I kind of gave up after 2nd page.
I'll try again :foo:

Don't be surprised. Europe is full of ****** jeans. Italy has 2.3x the number of ****** jeans that the USA has, and about 4.3x that of the Nordic countries.

If you want good jeans that are made by people really dedicated to their denim, but are not in the repro category, I would say that you can't do much better than Kohzo.

Have to second the white jeans opinion. I'm pretty skinny and they look decent, but you have to expect the stains/smudges to accumulate throughout the day. Not that they bother me. If you have any excess weight at all, they look pretty bad. And there are a lot of other things they can look bad with

I'm on the hunt for nicely and accurately pre-distressed denim and from my research and pricepoint the most viable options are japan LVC models, some dior homme (mostly the japan models, but some italy), and hysteric glamour. I would love to try on some hysteric glamour to get an idea of the fit before I gamble away $400. I like that their washes are very intricate and realistic, while not being over the top. The studs on the pocket hem on most models don't bother me too much, though I could do without it.
