I just called woodbury to order a few shirts, and was told they can no longer mail out merchandise!!!
Apparently this just started yesterday!

I wondered how long that would last. Having the phone ringing off the hook can't be good for the service received by the in-store customers, and it had to be exhausting for the employees.

I also imagine Ralph doesn't want every overstock shipment flying out the door before walk-in customers have even had a chance to see it. It is the "sale" merchandise, after all.

I agree, but it still sucks. And it probably will hurt their sales.

Exhausting? You sound like my wife, doc - exhausted after sitting at a desk all day.

It's true, I'm a delicate flower.

But my Polo outlet can be a crazy place -- there's almost always a big line waiting to check out, at least on weekends, and the employees frequently seem on the edge of being overwhelmed. I wouldn't want to work there, much less deal with a periodic frenzy of SFers bringing the insanity via phone. It looks like hard work, which I avoid at all costs.

Ask these yungins where they'd rather work (by the way, middle-left, not a bad fit on the overcoat)
