I write a post few days ago on Fashion Random Thoughts the idea to open a Qasimi's thread, more and more guys post garments of the brands in the WAYWT thread.

Qasimi is a London based menswear brand creates by Khalid Qasimi who is the owner too. The designer was born in the United Arab Emirates. Then he raises in the United Kingdom and attains graduate of Central Saint Martins and the Architecture Association.

Inspired by his own life and experience, Khalid Qasimi launched his own label after being a graduate. He develops elegant collection with his sensibility and relationship between the Middle East and the West. The London multiculturalism is to him, the best environment to develop his own collection.

Khalid elaborates collection in keeping in mind the past and present political events, his mission is to « make people think beyond clothing ».

Colour and fabrics are an hybrid combination with his origin and his own experience, modern minimalism and timeless tradition. To me he tries to bring together opposing worlds and that is the major strength of the Qasimi’s identity. Some people will see Scandinavian inspiration in his shirt, other will see bedouin carpet pattern in the same pieces, and that is really amazing.

This season he recreates the M-65 jacket with soft colors. Then he do relation between nomad bedouin and modern military technologies, the aim is to develops confortable and elegant collection.

All people of the world can wear the Qasimi’s creations.

Just post a review about the Qasimi spring summer collection : https://lerangstore.com/en/qasimi-spring-summer-2018

I really like the line of the shirt, relaxed and elegant. The pattern idea inspired by Bedouin carpets is quite interesting, the use of natural color in link with the Middle East environment shows original details in "Occidental" silhouettes.

I buy the Sagittarius Mint stripe which is very soft and confortable for the Summer

The designer uses modern parachute fabrications, to create the trousers.

I continue my feedback regarding the London Fashion Week Men few days ago.

Khalid Qasimi travels for the ss19 collection to North African shores, I love the shorts and t-shirts inspired archeological maps.

Last weekend was London Fashion Week, few of the designers we distribute presented their collections, including Khalid Qasimi.

For the autumn-winter 2019, the nomadic man Qasimi has finished travelling, he is unfortunately confronted with the coldness of the current world, filled with political and societal problems experienced by the various Western countries, the time is now looking for a near utopian future. No more outfits with light and airy pieces, the collection is comfortable here, the pieces are thicker, the elegance sought by Qasimi is always in place.

More pictures to discover online. I would liked to have your opinions on the collection for the people who read the thread. :)

The amazing and peaceful Khalid Qasimi has passed away...

I am very saddened by this news.

He made sublime collections but also filled with messages of peace and love, a beautiful person left...
