Puma 96 Hours Warning

Just purchased a pair of Puma 96 Hours sport-type shoes in gray suede from an online seller in the UK. (These look vaguely like sneakers, but are not the usual sneakers, being of higher quality and more restrained style.) Anyway, here's the problem: the damn things leave streaks from the heels (I think) on hard surfaces. Mine have gray soles and heels (like the uppers), and leave gray streaks on surfaces like linoleum. Given that these are not cheap shoes (retail, I think, is around $300; I got them for about $80), this is surprising and very disappointing. Since the shape of the heel/sole assembly is such (curved and blended with the upper) that a standard re-heeling is out of the question, does anyone have a suggestion as to how to solve this problem some other way?
