A bit, over time. That's what patina is all about.

I just received my merlot PAs from Nordstrom. I'm pleasantly surprised at how dark and rich the color is.

What color shoe polish is recommended for Chestnut AEs? Does AE have chestnut cream?I have a shoe cream in chilli, could I use it for chestnut shoes?

Unless you get lucky on Ebay, this is pretty much the lowest I've seen for 1st quality PAs.

An alternative could be the Allen Edmonds Soho (174$ right now from amazon).

Ordered a pair of Park Avenues in 9D, which is the size of all the AE's I have.

Is there a way of finding out which last each model is made on? I know I fit 9D's across 3 AE's but I can't tell if I am just lucky or they are the same last. I'd like to think I've discovered the rule of thumb AE size to go with but I don't want to end up wrong.

Park avenue is the 5 last I believe, i have the niles on this last and i fit in 9.5 which is the same i fit in the 8 last
