I see nothing wrong with what he said about Western Levels. Considering the United States is only 300m people, and China and India is over 2,460m. United States accounted for 33% of the World Consumption in 2007. If India and China started to consume like United States we couldn't support them.

He is essentially correct. But it is a call for Western Countries to be more responsible and consume less than a statement saying India and China need to stay in the Pre-Industrial Age.
