Chucks -uncomfortable as hell -non-removable insole -crap materials -crap construction John Varvatos -decent materials -pretty comfortable -removable insole -far more designs I don't think it's crazy some one would buy JV over the normal chucks based on the reasons above. I know I would never wear chucks again in my life, because they are so uncomfortable. If I were buying chucks I would pay more for the comfort alone. The name has nothing to do with this.

You're just being defensive. Varvatos shoes have gotten praise on the board over the years. A lot of people don't like the laceless shoes. Get over it.
