Those look nice; really worn for 12 weeks.
Were those completely dry, or the predistressed kind?

They were the patriots. A little bit of sanding on the knees and lap to get you started, but a before and after shot will show you just how much they faded. (There are pictures of the before a few pages back, I'm too lazy to go and repost them right now).

There are an amazing number of wear marks around your crotch.

I say this because wear marks there all happen to point in one direction centrally. Very affirmative.

Not bad. I had a pair of DoubleRL's (returned them coz they were way too tight), i found the denim was really REALLY soft. Considering that, yours are turning out quite well.

RB1s...umm, 10 minutes of wear, no washes. These just showed up yesterday (in Kuwait) from Active Endeavors. I'm throwing myself at the denim experts for fit critique. I'm pretty happy with them so far. Sized down; these are 32s and I measure between 33 and 34. The waist is a perfect fit, they sit right above my hipbone. I'm expecting the hips to stretch just a little; fit through the thighs is great. I know they're supposed to be more anti-fit but after a steady succession of HL, APC, and others that aren't cut for my build I'm just glad to be able to put my hands in my pockets. Only problem I have is that the crotch doesn't have a lot of stretch. Probably not going to explain this well, but there's resistance before the end of my stride. It's not bad enough to give up on them, but is that likely to stretch out? Also, how high should I hem these things? I knew they were going to be long, but I have about six inches rolled under right now.

    Danke alles

They look good. If I understand the crotch issue, I think that it will be fine with some wear. I'd let the length out at least an inch or more from what's pictured, depending on what shoes you plan to wear with them. As now, they look skimpy, and you're wearing boots. And after a couple weeks, with the wrinkles of wear they will ride up a bit too.

Tiger, those look good. I wouldnt hem *that* high tho. I think if you're gonna wear them that high then it looks more 'finished' with a cuff rather than a straight hem. But if you aren't gonna cuff, then I'd hem them maybe 3" longer than you have them rolled to. That way they wont be in your way but will have a small break on the shoe. Also keep in mind they could shrink in length after you wash em so take that into consideration if you decide to hem.

Cool, thanks Jason. Like I said, I'm out of my element here. I'm not into cuffs so I'll go with about 3 more inches. I do like to show off the shoes [IMG] but don't have any here to try them with.

    Tom,

Those look awful. But I can help you. Just send them my way [IMG]

Actually, I would say that the fit is perfect for you. The antifit thing I don't think would suit your style. I would get them cuffed about 3 inches longer as well, maybe 2 inches even. They will shrink slightly (about 1/2 inch, ime), and you do want a "bit" of break on those things. As for the crotch, it will be less constricting with time, but since it is meant to be a little low, don't expect to do roundhouse kicks in them.

Now, never, ever, take a post a picture of your fatigue wearing ass for us again, please. BTW, who took that photo anyway? Did you ask a fellow officer, "Dude, do you mind taking a picture of my ass - I want to put it up on a men's forum?"

Haven't you been following the news Fok? Going "Brokeback" is all the rage these days [IMG] Self-timer on the camera, but I did ask one of the roommates, "hey so, uh, what do you think these do for my completely heterosexual ass?" Didn't cop to the pics or the forum, shit like that goes public too easily.

BTW, don't get thrown by the tucked-in T shirt, that's to show fit. If my Reg Ralphs were any baggier, I'd be Kris Kross. Jump! Jump!

Love the 517's - I have a vintage pair that have barely been worn probably from the 70's.

Those Julian Reds are really tight - are they a stretch fabric? I couldn't pull that off. Too old.
