I know my input means little to nothing among all of the heavyweights here but if it were the green tie option I would probably compete in my first Friday challenge.

Green tie is a good idea if you want a lot of great entries. Not as much of a challenge though.

Given the low levels of participation over the last year (though this most recent challenge wasn't too bad) and lowish voter turnout (true here, unfortunately), this might be a good consideration if we plan on start doing the FC more regularly this F/W. Though as you said, not much of a challenge.

How about a "just wear some clothes" challenge? Then everyone can play. But seriously, I think a "pick your favorite outfit from this week or month" Challenge would play well.

A lot of the fun in winning a Friday Challenge is being able to pick the next topic. It also causes problems if the winner doesn't want to oversee the next challenge or is slow to come up with a topic (not a jab at you).

Here's a wild idea. What if there were 52 pre-selected topics for Friday Challenges? Once one ended, the next one could begin without a hitch. They could be seasonally or holiday appropriate with a mix of past favorites. For the record, I have no desire to run point on this project. This may or may not take some of the joy out of winning. We could still allow the winner to choose his own topic, but just have the list as a back up. Thoughts?
