Pocket square addiction?

Does this sound to you like I have a problem?

I picked up three new pocket squares at Brooks Brothers yesterday just 'cuz they're purty (and on sale). When I brought them home and added them to my collection, I realized, for the first time, that I already own 20 squares, of which I only wear five or six on a regular basis. I then tried to thin the ranks, but I couldn't bring myself to part with even one of them. "I can't spare a square!" I'm afraid that as soon as I get rid of one I'll assemble just the right outfit that calls out for it.

It gets worse: I caught myself browsing Kent Wang's website this morning...and I started making a list.

Is there a support group I should join?

Compare to most of us you're quite lucky...Pocket square are quite cheap to buy compared to the average bespoke suit or pair of shoes...
You enjoy them and it is difficult not to get carried away with our sartorial demons...

If you feel that you have a problem, and would like to take action against it I would be happy to take a few of the pocket squares from you so you don't feel that you have to many.

As addictions go a pocket square one seems less likely to ruin you than one to bespoke suit and shoes or crack.

I dont think you have a problem, I should get rid of like 50 but I cant because they're so nice to look at. Also as soon as I give them away, I'll need them for something.

If there is, it wouldn't be here. Although I might be able to offer you absolution. If you donate a pocket square with carrots on it and agree to uphold the sacred dandiacal creed.

I love that article on your site about British pocket squares (or was it Pocket Squares in Britain?)

You are fine! Do not worry about them. Keep them for as long as you want them after all you can always time to wear them one after the other.

20 squares? No big deal. They tend to be much less expensive than other garments, they'll always fit, and they don't really go out of style. Seems A-OK to me.

Yeah, I didn't think the total number would impress very many guys who post here. I'm a small-timer in that regard. What concerns me is the fact that I want more even though I wear only a fourth of the ones I already own.

It also seems odd that I'm not same when it comes to neckties. I'm actually pretty good about working most of my neckties into regular rotation, and I don't have too much trouble getting rid of the ones I've stopped wearing. But pocket squares are different, for some reason. I always want another one..or two...or...

Not really, pocket squares are not that expensive like shoes and tie can be so onwing that many is not that big of a deal. I would be embarassed though if I came home and noticed that I bought one I already owned.

That's not to belittle your collection in any way. I think my PS collection is currently at around 8-10, so you're miles ahead of me. I just meant I wouldn't worry about your collecting going overboard or out of hand. Perhaps you'd be willing to grace us with some pics?

I started making my own after I became unsatisfied with the machine-made ones. I will post pics soon. In fact, I might just start selling some here.
