I have some older suits that have pleats in the pants. i want to update these by getting rid of them, i'm wondering if it's worthwhile and how much it should cost? also i have a pair of pants that have a cuff i want to remove. i assume this should all be pretty easy for a tailor so it shouldn't be very expensive. anyone done this before and have a price idea?

working time is what you are paying for in alterations. removing pleats takes time to do the right job. if you wish to understand, turn to ask andys search.ask "for removing trouser pleats" scroll down to that title.
