Paul Smith York boots and similar (upwards pointing toe)

Im strangely attracted to the Paul Smith York boots, i usually think boots with a bit of upwardspointing toe is too much cowboy-styled for my taste, but this model has something special.
Does anyone have a pair and do you like them? How do you feel about boots with upwardspointing toes ?

The upwards pointing toe appears to be some sort of latest fashion. I am not a fan myself. Even though my tastes run less conservative than a lot of people on this forum this is too much for me. Besides I am reminded of this:
