These 5EP are a 16" opening I believe, for me that's wide enough in a jean. I do have some RRL chino's that measure around 17"-18", those will probably look decent with these boots also. I understand your opinion on wearing these with skinnier jeans yesterday, I figured I'd give it a try, at least it was a different approach, though not a success really!

Its finally cold enough for a jacket; It's currently 43 and drizzly, and the high is only 52.

I succumb to SF group-think so easily sometimes.

I was chatting with my best friend/guitarist of my old band the other night when he randomly sent me a link off Musician's Friend of a Les Custom in black. I showed him the picture of yours and he asked for your address so that he could come over and rob y--, I mean, uh, have a jam session with you.

I'll see about getting one of my guitars in the next shot. WAWYN instrument pics seem to happen around here about once a year. Too bad old man Smart doesn't play his Ricky any more.

I would suggest that the next LA.SF.GTG be a jam session, but we all seem to be guitar players. Lord knows drummers and bassists generally dress like ****.

LOL yeah I play bass too.

The Les is probably 10.5 lbs...lighter than the '76 custom I owned years ago. It is very heavy but the sustain is just sickening. When I bought it the guy had 11's on it and when i rang out a single note in the upper register I could feel the vibration from the guitar body against my rib cage for several seconds.

Oh yes that's how they're supposed to be, well done. Flyweight LP's do nothing for me unless they're chambered, which give a unique sound altogeather. Hope the rig's adequete enough to let it sing.
