As an accessory, have her wear a plastic wristband bearing her name, address and blood type.

I had surgery a week ago today, and I wore PJs, slippers & a robe to the hospital (at 6 AM). When the orderly came out to ask who was going back for surgery he looked at me and said, "I don't need to ask you."

After surgery I had this "accessory." But I don't recommend this way of aquiring it.

To answer the OPs question. No, it's not okay to wear PJs outside the house.

I did this too when I had kidney surgery. I actually wore a sport coat over my pj's too because it was a bit chilly.

this is the perfect question for the old saying, "If you have to ask, don't do it"

What I recall most is that I didn't care nearly as much about how I looked on the way out. I remember the recovery room nurse asking if I wanted to switch my purple surgery socks for the Stubbs & Wootton slippers. I retorted, "Just throw 'em in a bag and get me to the car."

So much for post-surgery style.

Any girl I was dating that did that would get a swift kick to the curb.

I'm guessing she also owns UGGs and she pairs them with her pajamas.

Have her put some rollers in while she is at it to complete the look.

And big, black sunglasses, tanktop, hoodie, and Venti cup of Starbucks to complete the "Hollywood starlet train-wreck escaping the paparazzi" look.
