Well, just got back from a relatively pleasing trip to the local grocery. It changed its hours to open at 6a vs. 5a about 10 days ago and I drive by at 5:55 every day on the way to work. All week long there's been a steady stream on roads that are usually deserted and heading in to **** the place. Today it wasn't even crowded, and while some things like ground meat was cleaned out, we got most of what we wanted. Had to settle for shredded cabbage as all the head cabbage was out. No biggie. Okonomiyak tonight!

For the first time ever they had beef suet out. Well, it was the only thing out in the beef section. I guess no one knows what to do with it other than YT. It was really nice and .50 cents a pound. Guess who has 10, 1# vacuum sealed packages in one of his chest freezers.

Pizza night tonight. I normally do 3 pies, but that takes up more than a half bag of flour, so I'm sticking to 2 tonight. Keeping it simple... probably just pepperoni.

The food processor is so helpful. It's way easier to make the dough than the stand mixer. (My dough ball always comes off of the dough hook, and the damned thing jumps all over the counter.) Plus it will make short work of shredding mozzarella.

Man, the marinade for the cochinita dish smells so great. Got the pork hunked and in the fridge with that, duck legs dunked until tomorrow, and ready to slice up some of my homemade bacon for the oko. On top of that I just got in a beast mode workout so am ready to gorge a bit.

Really need to get a chest freezer so I can stock up on meat. Kind of a pain to go out and hope the market has what I want on command.

Corona stress is affecting my pizza making. Not my best looking pies, but tasty nonetheless.

I'm particular about my peanut butter and the store was out, so I made my own in the food processor.

My pizza was too janky to post. I tried 320g dough balls instead of 300g. It was a failed experiment. Too big for my peel & baking steel.

But those look good. Don't need to be round to be tasty.

I've had great luck with the cheapo GEs I got from Costco. One is a decade old and humming away.

Here we have it. Four portions, one tonight in tacos, one over rice with charred cabbage on Tuesday, and two for the freezer.
