Getting a big-screen Doctor Doom right would be amazing. No other Marvel villain matches his intensity save for Magneto IMO. The guy from Nip/Tuck was horribly miscast.

evangeline lilly is janet van dyne?

After already tapping Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Michel Pena to star in “Ant-Man,” Marvel is now in early talks with Evangeline Lilly for the female lead.

Edgar Wright is directing the superhero film with Kevin Feige producing. Wright also co-wrote the script with Joe Cornish. Production is set to start in April.

Plot details are still vague, but fans have suspected Wright is taking a different approach. It is unclear whom Lilly would be playing, though some insiders say she would play the daughter of Pym (Douglas) and Lang’s love interest.

Pym didn’t have a daughter in the comics, but Cornish and Wright could certainly have switched things up in their version by giving him one.

Marvel had no comment.

I hope they just invent a new character for her and make Janet her mother.

Rumor is she won't be playing Janet and might not even be Wasp at all or as you said, just the daughter of the original Wasp.

Makes no sense to make her Janet Van Dyne at all.

Yeah I was thinking like Silk Spectre passing down her costume to her daughter sort of thing, just don't see them touching up on that subject of wife beater though, I mean they won't even tackle Starks drinking problems.

Then again this is a studio who destroyed Mandarin and then tried to backpedal only after the upheaval on the **** they did.

'Alfred Pennyworth', 'The Penguin' And More Cast In Fox's GOTHAM Series


Ben McKenzie will be joined in Fox's Gotham pilot by three more actors in what promise to be pretty major roles in the series which chronicles the early years of Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne. Robin Lord Taylor (Another Earth) has been cast as Oswald Cobblepot, a character described as having "the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal, Cobblepot is a low-level psychopath for gangster Fish Mooney, and hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor." Sean Pertwee (Elementary) meanwhile will play Alfred Pennyworth, "A tough-as-nails ex-marine from East London, Pennyworth has loyally served the Wayne family. Now, in the wake of their tragic deaths, he’s fiercely protective of the young Bruce Wayne — the boy who will eventually become Batman." Zabryna Guevara (The Guilt Trip) has been cast as Captain Essen, Detective Gordon’s boss at the Gotham City Police Department Homicide Squad. "Essen balances the two worlds of police and politics with a Machiavellian skill that’s as much corporate litigator as cop." Finally, Erin Richards (Being Human) will play Barbara Kean, Gordon's fiancée. She's described as being, "A sophisticated emergency doctor, Kean stands by her husband amid the corrupt world of Gotham."
