1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

For ts(s), I am a "true" 40, and a size 4 fits me in most things, vests being the exception. The vests are cut huge, and a size 3 is regular to oversized on me, generally. Not sure what they are calling an "S".

Hopefully, yes. I have never bought from UM before and have long heard the terrible tales of unfulfilled orders.
Pretty true in my limited experience. I'm a 42, and so far size 5 outerwear has fit me when I've tried it. Can't speak about the whole lineup, obviously - for example, measurements on the matching shorts I am desperately trying not to buy suggest they run huge.

    cool, thanks guys.

sounds like my "true 46" body should fit into the S.

their posted measurements seem to say so as well, so... cool!

I would have ordered the 5 if you had not gotten there first. The 5 should fit you. I have had two instances in which one item as part of a larger order was not fulfilled. Good luck with your order.

Ah yes, the semi-annual "will my Unionmade order be fulfilled" game.

the price i pay for being full-time small-time. I think NMWA ran out of my size on like the first day, so I'm happy to take the chance.

I hope it works out for everyone! Every year there are tales of despair and woe though.

They have separate inventory systems for online and in-store stock. So sometimes you order something, but it's already been taken off the shop floor.

Supposedly difficult to merge since their online and retail operations are really big.

(That's what I've been told, anyway).

I think one issue may be that they pull stock at times from their physical stores to fulfill online orders. The item may be purchased in-store by the time the web fulfillment people come around to collect. There may be other issues as well.

I view buying from UM, especially deep into the sale, as a bit of a crapshoot. As such, I don't get bent out of shape if an item goes unfulfilled. It is probably something I can and really should live without.

The "no return" policy on sale items is the main thing that disappoints me.

So many of the independent stores have final sale policies for sale items.

True, and I get the logic. Unionmade just seems particularly large for an independent, so I kind of wish they were a bit more lenient. Maybe returns for store credit or something. Or maybe at least store credit on 40% markdowns, but not their Archive sale.

    Anyway, so it goes.
