I think there was some new stuff on there, too. I got this one, and I don't remember seeing it last time there was a sale:

Is that a batiste? You probably won't like it cause I'm pretty sure they fit bigger than all their other fabrics hahaha

I've never handled a BoO (I'm too tall so no point), not saying anything about quality, but today alone I've seen like 3 people say things along the lines of 'I don't really like this shirt... but it's BoO and it's on sale.'

BoO fabric is nicer than a typical mall brand shirt, and fit is generally better, but I normally don't like the colors much and design is just blah.

Is anyone familiar with Bastille in San Francisco? Gilt SF has a $50 for $100 of credit.

Moderntailor >> BoO, measure yourself, pick a fabric and get a perfect fitting shirt 3 weeks later, and for less than $100. what more can you ask for? i aint lining the pockets of some designer who thinks charging a premium for a dress shirt is the right thing to do, better off keeping that money for myself.

Agreed that you'll get a better fit that way (provided you don't screw up the measurements), but some of their fabrics are seriously awful. Better to get a swatch book of any fabrics your interested so you can handle them in person first. I got one shirt in a fabric that looked nice on the web site, but it was all stiff and papery, and it seemed to shrink during a cold wash.

@ mellon: I didn't see anything about it being a batiste shirt - they called a couple of them batiste on Gilt, and this wasn't one of them - but I'm cool with sending it back if it doesn't work out. Besides, I like that color. :embar:

Also, FWIW, I enjoy buying forum-hyped brands and items (0). I find it kind of fascinating what does and doesn't gain traction here. If I can, I may try to pick up some Dior 19cms after the jeans contest I'm in is over just to see if they live up to the hype (again, (0)).
