Joisey is a lot of things, but "cooler" isn't one of them.

A little pricey but I like them. Hopefully in a couple months a few will be available on eBay, etc.

other things being equal, the split toe models will probably do a better job stretching out the balls of the foot area where the worst creasing occurs.

Got my Epic shoe trees today and they are very nicely made. I do have a concern that they are to big and fit to tight in the shoe. I'm a US 9D and I got medium trees and they compress all the way when settled into the shoe. Also thay are wider than my other shoe trees. Is a snug fit good? Should I be worried that I'm going to hurt my shoes? I could always return them for a small. Has anyone ordered the Epic's and observed this. Please advise.

Thanks

That's good to know, because I'm a 10D which is on the break between medium and large and I was going to go with large. Now I think I'll go for the medium.

They should be able to expand a good bit - the more the spring is compressed, the more pressure it's putting on the shoe. It sounds like that size might be too big for your shoes.

I got the XL and in a size 12 shoe, they do fit more fully than other Woodlore models. But I considered that a virtue...

Did anyone order a small? I wear a 9/9.5, so I'm debating which way to go.

Also, maybe I missed it, but does anyone know how long the offer is good for?

I'm an 8.5 and I ordered mediums. I know it's sort of risky given ToddGTS's review but mediums are loose in Woodlore's other models and pretty good in Rochester's Washburn model, which is a single-piece model with a pretty full vamp.

I'm not sure of Cedarville's return policy but these things could probably be flipped on eBay easily enough...

One of the things I liked about the epic was the way it seemed to fill the shoe. Personally, I doubt I'll try a size down. I've got a couple of pairs of woodlore split-toe models in an L that I just don't use because they don't do the job.

I haven't used the Epics yet but my C&J shoe trees fill the shoe as well. I've two pairs of boots and one pair of C&J trees. I use Woodlore split-toes in one pair and the C&J in the other. The pair that uses the C&J looks new and is keeping it's shape with almost no creasing. The pair that is using the Woodlore's is creasing rapidly. I plan to use good shoe trees from now on.
