My girlfriend burned my old iron (literally - by starting a fire under it), so I am looking to buy a new iron.
I didn't like the old one anyway and would have replaced it if I wasn't so resourceful - don't like to generate waste as much as possible. The thing that I hated a lot about my old iron was a built-in calc container, so it would all of a sudden start to spit calc on my clothes when I iron and stain them. Lesson learned - my next iron will be with a removable calc container.
I am not as skilled with the iron as a professional tailor, so I am not going to buy one of the tailor's irons, though - they have a separate water tank and require a whole separate setup, that's too much for me.
Is there anything else I should pay attention to?
