Just got new light blue slacks and I’m wondering what kind/color of sports coat y’all might pair with them. Thanks in advance.

Ivory linen or poplin, or perhaps a blend.

light blue, like shown, and a navy blazer would look sharp, too. If you opt for that, make sure the shirt is white to add contrast.

White jacket was the first thing that popped into my head.
Add some tortoise shell frames, and a julep.

Navy for contrast. A mid-brown maybe. Natural linen or something like that for light on light. Probably some others, they're pretty neutral pants.

Also, hard to tell from this angle, but you might need to get them hemmed.

I have pants in a similar colour and they pair beautifully with a unconstructed navy blazer and white shirt. Simple is king.
