This newyear i am going to an event called "PartyLikeGatsby".

If anyone has ever seen the movie "TheGreatGatsby" this is excatly what it is.

Im going to need an outfit in the style of 1920.
But i dont wanna wear too much since it's gonna get a little hot in there.

I was thinking about going with white shirt, braces tailored pants to keep them slim compared to the box fit of the 1900.

Or maybe a vest instead of the braces.

But i could really use some input on what made the 1920 style stand out and maybe some advice on shoe and vest/pants combination.

keep in mind, i wanna look dapper for somone sporting a 1920 look.

I am 27 if that helps :)

Thanks

Do you mean 1920 or the 1920s?
1920 would look much like the 1910s. By the time of Gatsby,
say the mid 1920s, styles would have changed especially for
those who go with the trends.

I mean the 20's

Mostly like the gatsby movie since its the theme of the party.
But i would like to keep it a little modern.
Since im around 200LB, 5.9ft wide shoulders and 32/31" waist, so if i dont get a tailored fit, i will look like a big box.
Thats why i wanna avoid the jacket.
