With all of the great stuff in the B&S forum, I have to say I am curious where all of the big time sellers are getting their products. Where do you guys shop to get the best deals on brands like RLPL, RLBL, Valentino, Brooks Brothers etc.? Besides outlets and department stores, I don't see any other avenue. But with the low prices the people on B/S are providing us, there must be other channels, aren't there? I am just curious for my own shopping needs, I have no intention of buying and selling on SF or anywhere else. Please enlighten me my fellow fashionable gentlemen.

There was a member named Moo who used to post here.

He would buy most of the items on B&S, and later sell them at lower cost. Sometimes, this would happen several times with the same item, driving down the cost further. It would not matter what size the item was.

I am not sure how B&S works these days after his departure. I imagine the same thing has happened there as has happened in the crude oil markets, which is near chaos.

A lot of stuff being sold here was bought full price and now is for sale at a lower cost. People know they are not going to get back original retail prices, unless they list really rare/exquisite items, so they get listed for a lot less.

They're buying cheap knockoffs or just your run of the mill Macys brands and sewing on the Purple Label, Attolini, or Kiton labels on.

Yikes... As pessimistic as that sounds...I hope it's not the least bit true.

I think once or twice a year even outlets have sales. Now that RLBL is catching on it is hard to find the suits for real cheap but the first year ot two the suits were at the outlets for $400-500 and with an after christmas sale at the outlet made those suits pretty ceap. Some might be factory defects too.

I was so tempted to advise you to check out the special sales at goatse.ca where all the sellers go, but that would have been too cruel.

Most seller don't get paid in cash from their regular job, but get paid in clothing, so they come here to get cash by selling the clothing.
