Hello, i recently found this pair for $31 shipped on ebay, now i know i should try dress shoes on, but i was not expecting to win.

The issue is that it is width AA which i hear is extra narrow. If i have a medium size foot, would i be way too cramped?

Also, any thoughts on the shoe? Its an Allen Edmonds "strand", not sure if its worth the $, but i hear the newer AE are nice

Its an older AE model, and a very nice looking shoe, in my opinion. The toe cap looks as though it extends further back on the vamp than current AE models. From what I can tell of the condition from the picture, they are worth the $31.

As to the fit. If you wear a D width, not only will AAs be cramped, you may well be unable to get your foot in at all. They are extra narrow.

Yup, there is no way in hell you're fitting your D into AA.

Sorry.

Next time it might be a good idea to ask before bidding. At least it was only $31 + shipping. Your best bet is now to try and resell them. Who knows, you might even turn a profit.

They are even more narrow than that, as those look to be AE Strands (I just got a pair) on the #5 last which is AE's narrowest last of all.

I see from another post that you like the fit. You wouldn't steer folks, with feet sized similarly to yours, away from them? BTW, what last is it?

I wearing those right now. I usually wear a C width in many AE lasts but got a D width in these. I find they are a bit narrow than average from the arch forward but the heel seems to be true to size width wise.

They are on the #5 last which is already narrow. They fit me perfectly in a D width, but the OP got something crazy like a trip A width.
