i also don't think pete was one of the "bitches". he took it on the chin, the male counterpart to joan (presumably) not going through with the abortion. this was a really great episode.

When the FBI guys were interviewing Betty about Don and asking the "loyalty" questions I thought for a second that the "real" Don would be outed as a communist somehow.

Interested to see how everything is going to go to **** now that 1) Lane is not around to manage the books 2) They've got almost no money coming in with NW Aviation and Lucky leaving and C) (betting) Roger's going to have another heart attack trying to cover up the Lucky Strike business.

Pete is satisfied with his position now. All he cares about is growing the company. He realizes that having Don be a part of that will be worth more than a $4M account. That's why he knew he had to comply.

It was also confirmed that Bert has no office. I would have loved to see a new office of his. His office at the old agency was completely foreign to the rest of Sterling Cooper. The way everyone had to go through the ritual of taking off their shoes, to how it was a "forbidden" place to be without permission made it special.

I can understand Lane going back home for a bit, but 2 weeks seems very excessive.

Travel was much slower then too. Two weeks isn't that big a deal.

He wasn't traveling by steamship. 2 weeks is still excessive.

I took it to mean that (a) his father is physically diminished (i.e., has shrunk), but (b) that he was a large and imposing man.

His suit coat was also too long and hung off his shoulders, you'll notice.

I took it that Fay is on the way out because of Don's dependence (i.e., don't get too close), and that he'll pounce on Megan or someone equally vulnerable soon enough. But I could be wrong.

I got that impression. He showed little interest in seeing Faye for their make up date and saw Meghan as greener pastures.
