MA-1 Jackets Thread

Any word about Aloha Rag's version? Slim fitting, but looking at the fit pic, something seems a little off to me. For the price, I would rather go for ToJ

I tried it on when I was in Aloha Rag in NYC last weekend. Thoughts: it fits very slim, TTS medium's should get the L. It's very thin, which was disappointing, no real padding or warmth to it. strictly a spring/summer piece.

ok so I ordered the Hotel Manufacture MA1 off yoox, and i know thewho wanted to know about it and I have some spare time this lazy sunday, so I took some pictures. heres what I said about it in the RFT thread

size M measurements:
chest: 21.5"
Back Length: 22.75"
Front Length: 20"
Sleeves: 24"
Shoulders (back): 18"

Looks good. I might get one when there's free shipping code. Erm, blue or black?

I ordered the black Alpha Industries MA-1 this morning. Was thinking about getting the Blood Chit one but this one came out to be slightly cheaper. I kinda wish they offered the Reissue in black but a part of me also thinks I'd regret a slim fitting bomber later on down the road. I'll post fit pics when it comes in.

Has anyone seen the H&M one in person? Would be interested in grabbing it at that price if it was decent as i can't afford much just now.

Here is the H&M one. Not bad for the price actually, good fit and has a nice volume to it. I modified the placket though as it originally had a straight square edge at the top. Also the zip on the arm office wasn't originally exposed, which I modified too.

I'm in England so I ordered it from their online store. Didn't see it in any of the local H&M's.
They're still available online. If anyone stateside wants a jacket proxying then send me a PM, they cost £30 ($45) and whatever it will be for the shipping

Can you provide measurements for small/medium...

Only measurement I actually need is chest.

Here's a ****** iphone fit pic of the H&M MA-1. I tried it on a few weeks ago at the SF store. From what I remember, I had to size down to a small. I'm normally between sizes for small and medium and small just fit better overall. The material is a bit waxy (maybe plastic feeling is a better way to describe it) and feels really rigid. It gives the jacket the wrinkles and stacking you can see in the pic. Actually gives it a pretty substantial feel too which was nice. I think it was $70-80, which makes it a lot better than the Uniqlo one, but I only wanted to try it and wasn't interested in actually buying one.

Thinking of trying the Alpha Industries reissue. Any advice on sizing for a 41" chest, Medium or Large?
