I have a different size in every brand, some I have a 9 and in other I can have a 11.5

I can understand a half size, maybe full size... but 2 and a half size differences?

these are derbies (bluchers) - generally considered to be more casual than oxfords (balmorals)
They don't look too casual. I find it hard that BG and Neiman Marcus, along with the others would advertise incorrectly.
It's because most 'Mericans think that "oxford" means dress shoe; by dress shoe we think of pretty much anything black with laces.
So lets say I go to a party/event/meeting with some haberdashers, will these shoes + a suit make me look like a, suit?
