Okay, so I bought a suit from Charles Tyrwhitt a long time ago. Pressed for time, I sent it in to my regular tailor to get the sleeves shortened. Because the sleeves had functional buttons, my tailor said that he had to take it in from the shoulder.
Now, because (presumably) the sleeves are tapered, the sleeves don't drape correctly. There is an ugly fold when my arms are resting at my side.
I've taken the jacket in to another tailor in an attempt to fix it, but after several attempts, it's still not fitting correctly.
My Question:
I've heard that because of the functional buttons, and the fact that their sleeves are tapered, CT has their own tailors who will remove the entire sleeve and replace it with another stock sleeve (i.e. pre-shortened sleeves) for sleeve alterations. If this is true, I can try and take it back to CT.
If not, then it's probably futile to try and fix it because nobody else has had any luck with it.
Thanks in advance!
