Is there a UK equivalent of Styleforum? I've recently moved from Paris to London and am struggling to find good websites with advice (whereas in France there's a French equivalent of Styleforum which is quite informative).

More specifically, would anyone be able to recommend good cobblers and tailors (for simple alterations like hemming) in central London? An older thread recommends Koko's, but that's pretty far away.

For alterations Pinnas and Needles in Soho is very good. For shoe repairs take them to John Rushton Shoes in Mayfair , he has a cobbler in the basement and it's excellent. Welcome to London.

For an alteration tailor, I can second Pinnas and Needles in Soho. For a cobbler, I would recommend Tony's Heel Bar in Kentish Town.

Thank you both. Seems like they do good work, although 18 pounds to simply hem some trousers is a bit ridiculous.

Any idea if any of them might be able to do a topy installation + metal taps same-day? lol...I figure it's probably unlikely
