Does anyone own the Loake Blackfriars and can comment take some pictures? I like the way they look on the website, but on a double monk, the double straps are easy to mess up imho.

I find the two straps are too close to one another.

Is your opinion based on seeing them in person or on internet pics?

Personally i think Loake have done quite well with that Monk , the last seems quite elegant and sleek.

I was looking at a pair of 2x Monks I have (non-splayed vamp strap) and the interesting thing is you basically don't see the top buckle IMO. Maybe the splayed style is different. I agree the last is nice.

Anyone with pics? With the pound dropping vs the dollar, I am thinking as getting these to add to my rotation.

Actually those are rather nice looking. I'm liking both colours.

From reading past post, these are on the capital last? Am I correct?

thanks Charlie's Wardrobe!

The pics posted are the same ones I found on google. A member here who actually has a good understanding on what makes a shoe a look good and take pics galore. Those pics on the internet don't show everything that needs to be shown.

Are the Loake Knightsbridge on the capital last as well? Pediwear has a decent photo of the toe area
