Well, this is weird. Moncler takes on the 5-zip in leather puffer form.

I'm 5'10, why lie about height, its silly

The whole height requirement is such a weird American thing that I don't see over here in the Netherlands at all. Could also be that 6' is just the average male height (not to flex, of course) and there's not really a next logical step. 2m perhaps?

Also, why don't we have these standards for women? Give me a woman who is 6'5. Let me be the little spoon for once.

One of the things about online dating is that it's hard to really judge chemistry before you've actually met, and there's really no way to filter by personality traits. But you need to filter by something, so why not limit your search to people you're superficially physically attracted to? Especially when women easily have 5x the number of people contacting them as men do. I couldn't really say why women in the US are more attracted to men that are significantly taller than them, but the fact is that many of them are. It's not like men don't also filter for superficial traits.

I only lie to myself. At 5'10" I'm ok with my weight if I believe I'm 6'

Honestly while the conversation is typically american and it has pretty much no impact in person it is possible some weird ladies do filter by that criteria in online dating apps but thyen do people put their height/weigh etc on those? wtf

This discussion is just making me laugh. So much insecurity, so many misconceptions. I'm 5'5" so you might imagine that I have lived a loveless life while all the women flock to the 6' guys. Let me tell you that it hasn't been like that - not at all. And I will leave it there (particularly since I have never owned or wanted a leather jacket...).

Agreed with this- Personality & being confident in who you are matter way more than height

Confidence and personality can really shine through on a tinder or whatever dating profile.

You don't have to meet people through an app, you know...

...there's still the old fashioned method of getting very drunk and waking up with someone whose name you don't remember.
