levis did a slightly longer sherpa'd denim type 2 awhile back but the design is essentially a blouson.

Kind of? I don't with workwear outfits, but I do with contemporary outfits. If I'm wearing a black 5-zip with black jeans, I'll wear black boots. I also think a very contemporary DR looks better with either black boots or white sneakers.

But if it's a very traditional Schott-type DR, then I think either black or brown boots work.

Do you treat your very dark brown destroyed horse boots as if they are black?

Yes, I actually wear L0 dark brown boots with black leather no problem. I believe you are referring to CDiem destroyed horse and Yeap I’d treat those as black too. Dark colors are easy, it’s when you have an eye popping red that’s when I tone it down.

so I do match my belt occasionally but I never tuck in my shirt so it’s kinda pointless ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What about the type 2 do you like and are looking to preserve in a longer model? I ask because it’s not just length that is a factor but also width - type 2s are loose in the body/wider in the shoulders. That plus the placement of the pockets and the pleated placket could make it more of a sack/chore coat if made longer. But maybe that’s what you’re going for?

you bring up some new points lol. I honestly didn’t think about all that. I came across this and my only thing is I have a long torso so typical type 2s or type 3s are hitting just below my belly button

I also just saw Butterscotch LB released the Addict Clothes Granada and that strikes my interest

That jacket does appear to fit closer to the body then a vintage Type 2. Googling "Type 2" you'll see there are a lot of modern takes on the design that are slimmer, so the sackiness may be less of a concern.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any models that offer a longer torso.
