awesome jacket dude. The new Aero looks amazing. How would you describe the battered HH leather?!

Not much else to do lately so I will post some recent pics. Wested Raiders Hero in Prague, late February.

Here’s a new Aero x Thurston Bros Ridley in dark seal Vicenza and antique brass hardware waiting for me at my sister’s house.

Don’t mind her poor photo skills

Looking forward to getting this on and broken in once this mess is over.
I also have an Aero August in battered tan horsehide and a Bill Kelso Raiders on order.

I'm surprised you didn't apologize for spreading misinformation. Oh wait, no I'm not.

I did no such thing. Sumerians used urine, feces and brain matter to tan leather in 2500-3000bce. Well before any vegetable tanning. There were also common “piss pots” used in medieval Europe.

Happy to continue this via PM. I am sure no one else here cares what we think.

You were absolutely wrong about the origins of the words “tanning” and “piss poor”.

Yeah, no one is denying that you can use urine to tan things.

(By the way, the origin of "rule of thumb" is not known, but it does not come from a rule about the thicknesses of switches.)
