So today as I was buckling my week-old SAB wraparound document case, I noticed this on one of the straps:

Is this crack anything to be concerned about?

I ordered it directly from SAB in London, and I'm in the U.S. I suppose I could e-mail them the pics, or perhaps stop by Sterling and Burke. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a common/harmless occurrence before going through the trouble.

I bet there was a flaw in the leather that simply went unnoticed (or was unnocticable) at the time of construction. It won't fix itself, but SAB should be able to simply replace the strap, which is certainly what I would want them to do.

That's certainly not consistent with their quality, raise it with them - send them the pics. It's fixable and not terribly serious, but they'll probably send you out a new one I expect given yours is days old.

I hope so. I sent them an e-mail with pics last night. They are typically slow to respond to e-mail, but hopefully I will hear something within a few days.
