I don't remember being too impressed with the construction for some reason but I bet they fade incredibly. I didn't see the price tag. Do you know how much they ran for?

$198.00. They come in a straight version, or a straight narrow version. They aren't selvedge, but we got into a conversation about what actually is selvedge nowadays...he made some interesting points.

Lance, since you're in the neighborhood run over to HTC and try on that Stevenson line I mentioned. Around $180 (incl. discount) and the fit/color/denim was surprisingly nice.
Yeah I will! Those sound good, and a great price too with the discount.

Its Japanese denim and they are made in Japan as far as I know, and that's about all I know. Its available in two cuts, a regular and a slim If I recall correctly (selvage 14oz (?) and I think non-selvage 12 or 13oz (?)). I was pretty impressed by the regular cut, didn't try the slim.

Went to HTC and South Willard today looking to try on APC's, R&B's, and anything in between. Not that it matters now but who sells Slim Jim's in LA? HTC: The female SA who helped was super friendly. I tried on Hollywood Trading Co's own limited line called Stevenson Overalls. $229+30% off. Japanese selvage, no branding, no hidden rivets, but really well made with a great fit. Don't have any real measurements but I'd say it had a medium rise with a regular/slim fit through the legs and maybe 8.25"-8.5" openings. Stiffness was similar to APC and was really pretty overall in terms of indigo.
