Kuhlman's is now online! Why it is one of my favorite shops.

The owner, Scott, is a stand up guy too. I don't buy from there too much anymore but I used to all the time and he was incredibly helpful.

I've been a customer there for awhile and it's also one of my favorite stores in Seattle. Note that they also stock Schiesser.

Regarding the tailoring, Scott and his crew can do pretty much anything. I've also seen some of his custom work and it's really good stuff.

For a second I was worried...isn't there a mass market Thomas Pink style lower end looking store by the same name?

What kind of custom work are we talking about? As in, just tailoring, or MTM shirts and such?

Yes, but there's no connection between the two. To add to the confusion, even the owner's share the same name.

I've seen that, in Greenwich Village or Chelsea right, on 8th Ave.? I've seen one in Boston too. That stuff is wretched.

Scott tells me full bespoke, but I haven't really asked him any questions about it. I've been meaning to commission a suit from him just to try it out, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Shirts can also be made, along with many other things. I do use them for alterations though, and they're great and easy to work with.

That sounds excellent, any idea on the price points?

Basic suits start around $2k, no idea on anything else. That's about the same as the few other custom tailors in town.

I think there is one on like 12th/6th also.
There used to be one under Roc Center next to Hale & Hearty.

Yep, along with some Italian made knits. They just got in a shipment for fall stuff like a week ago that I've been meaning to stop in and check out.
