I saw a bunch of Kiton "tricot" cashmere sweaters which are much more expensive than regular Kiton cashmere sweaters. Do you know what makes them special?

Because they're not made by cheap labour?

Huh, with those prices I'm afraid I will never find out what makes them so special...

They must be really special for $2k+. Yeh, not made by cheap labour in a third world country.

I would venture a guess that a sweater woven in a tricot fabric is more intricate/labor intensive to justify - or justify marketing - a higher price (more durable knit, interesting textures, etc.).

Someone with better understanding of textiles might be more helpful.
