I've found the folks in the shoe department at the Tyson Neiman's consistently helpful, even exceptionally so. One fellow went through all Neiman's shoe offerings with me in hopes of finding a style I was considering, even though I told him I wasn't planning to buy anything that day.
If only I got the same service in the suit section. At best, I usually get patronized in a kindly fashion. (I imagine part of the difference is that when I'm in there, I'm usually wearing decent shoes but no suit.)
While Neiman's tends to be a mixed bag, I can't think of a negative experience I've had at the Saks there.
