What the hell happened? I'm going through my closet and found several pairs of 6+ years old Kenneth Coles and they're made in Italy with good leather and soles.

The current products are crapped and it's not even worth $30 for a pair.

I abandoned Kenneth Cole before the turn of the century once I found out they supported dangerous and stupid "common sense" causes such as handgun bans

I look forward to the day their management who supported the above is ousted and their thinking is relegated to the dust bind of useless measures

I also have some KC shoes from years ago. They were excellent quality and craftsmanship. Now they charge the same price for crap leather and china manufacturing. Combine that with their "common sense" agenda, and I avoid them like the plague.

I bought a pair in the mid-90's that were well made with nice leather. Not sure when things went awry.

On a trip to Taiwan, I saw a pair of furry Kenneth Cole dress shoes. I don't know what I would wear something like that with. It looked like some sort of dead rodent.

Listing all the companies that used to make decent or good products and no longer do is an exercise in futility.

I bought a pair about 10 years ago. They proved to be crap.
