Missed your posting of the teddy completely - Mea Culpa! - And I was so proud having discovered a novelty item.

So, I stands in the corner, wearing my duce's cap.

He only drinks Diet Pepsi -- probably because it is harder to find in France.

Well, Scheiße! And I thought I was being so nifty with the funny accents. I guess I should be a better frequenter of Wikipedia for my anecdotal knowledge.

By the way, totally random, but have you ever seen an interview of Karl when he's speaking his native tongue? Usually, he's always speaking English and French (which, obviously, he does beautifully), but I saw one in German a few months back and he speaks so unbelievably quickly and in a rush it's like he has only 4 seconds to live and has to get it all out... I actually like Karl better when he's speaking this way...

I think it's rather funny and even cute. But more like $49.99 cute and funny. At 1000 Euros it is ridiculous.

I do have to hand it to KL, he NEVER misses an opportunity to brand himself.

Of course! His interviews are a treat. I think when he speaks German he can show his true wit and humor. Funnily he speaks in a light northern German accent that doesn't really fit his appearance.

When he speaks French as well his words trip out, as if his mind is moving faster than he can even speak. It's clear that he has a lot he wants to say, however daft he is or the things he says may be. He's apparently a voracious reader on art and design.

Did anyone ever go to his store on the Rive Gauche? It closed down a while back but looked interesting -- art books and such./

That's my thought, exactly, when I see his interviews in English. That's why it was sort of fun and refreshing to see those interviews in German, because it seems like he's almost "at speed" for getting across what he wants to say. It's rather dazzling... sort of like a more erudite, well dressed form of the "Micro Machines" guy in English...
