Why not both?

Basically....With the exception of shoes and gym shorts, my attire has been visibly logo-less for around a decade. It doesn’t stop, nor begin, with clothes though. In certain aspects of life, it becomes extremely difficult to pull off. If there’s a logo less product with good quality, I’ll take that path all day.

people keep talking about NOAH recently. i've scanned their site a few times over the past few weeks and nothing stood out. looks like some mix of tommy hilfiger, polo and jcrew / bonobos.

any cool pieces that have a more unique flavor of what is NOAH?
Two of my favorite pieces that dropped last season. Sold out quick in my size. Oh fun facts on Noah. Brendon Babenzian (owner) was the creative director for Supreme. He was there for some year and during my favorite season FW 2012 (arguable the best season). If you go back to that lookbook you can see some stuff that’s similar to NOAH.

Hey guys. What are some of the best footwear that go with cast 2 jeans? So far been loving my common projects achilles low and my red wing 875’s. What do you guys like ? I think my charcoal iron rangers even work pretty good. Ill post some pics later!

Surprised to hear you say that their outerwear is lacking. I don't have any outwear pieces yet. What do you consider to be better outerwear that someone else does for a similar price ?

I haven't looked at or bought outerwear for years (so not familiar with currently similar priced brands) but tried on JE bomber jacket when it came out and I liked the Robert Geller bomber jackets a lot more. They were a little more expensive but were easy to find at discount from various retailers like Ssense for the price of JE retail.

I know it's not a fair comparison but for my last purchase I wanted a black ma-1 and looked at several brands and Rick blew everyone out of the water quality wise. The weight, fabric, 2 way zipper, etc. were all fantastic and leaps and bounds better than everyone else. I ended up finding it on sale for $600 or $700.

Then I would keep an eye on Yoox for other brands like Margiela, you can find some great deals there.

It's not the same aesthetic but Kapital makes similarly priced jackets and coats, especially if you buy from Japan through a proxy. I've been meaning to get a fleece jacket from them.

AJ1. I love how they stack when I rock 1s. But honestly I wear everything. Just had my carbons on with a pair of my Saint Laurent boots

At first I was attracted to JE because they had the cool zipper hoodies, unique bomber jackets, and it felt like the 2013 swag never left. If sneaker culture stayed what it was and the Jordan 1 was still cool, John Elliott would be killing the game.

There have been some wack statements/claims made here recently but saying the Jordan 1 isn't still cool takes the cake.

Outerwear is a big category that totally depends on where you live. I wore a Lululemon down jacket more than any other piece last year. Stone Island & Arcteryx/Veilance make great pieces as well.
Wheres a good place to start with AJ1's ? Neutral colorway ?
Classics. Breds, Chicagos, Royals. After that buy colorways you like and have outfits for. If money is no object the Union 1's look amazing and there's been a few fire fits posted here with them.

For me the Cast 2 is the perfect substitute for D02's since the fits went wack after Hedi left, the stacking with SL boots is as close to perfect as you can get IMO.

Surprised at some of the takes here. I mix JE, ALD, and some other brands like Kapital and even a little FOG often. I think the ethos of all these brands are similar even though the aesthetic of each is different with some occasional overlap. JE and ALD specifically offer looks that fall into different buckets. JE sometimes leans a little too far into the Cali vibe and sometimes ALD leans a little too far into Supreme/RL Polo NY vibe, but then they both overlap in the middle at times especially when they take their influences and create something new rather than just recreating or copying something they grew up wearing. I like when JE experiments with materials or wash techniques, and I like when ALD just makes a well constructed play on something like the Fisherman's Vest or the Tweed Shawl Overcoat from the past F/W season. Trying to pick one over the other is unecessary though imo.

So much talk in here with so little pics. Not really sure why ppl feel like they have to be exclusive to one brand. I fux with adl, Noah, Je, etc. each brand offers something I like.

I was thinking the same thing. I cherry pick various pieces from a bunch of different brands to create a look thats unique to me.

Don’t think anyone said they were exclusive to a single brand. What I saw is that some people just aren’t into ALD or that style, not everyone can pull off or want to pull off the color blocking or style that ALD or any similar brands offer.

I have no doubt many people here wear brands other than JE. For instance I have Uniqlo, Amiri, SLP, UNI/LA, Acne, Outlier, etc...
